I have been searching (without luck) for a while for a black baby doll for the boys. I suppose this is a preview of things to come. I know I haven't even brushed the surface of what it must feel like to be a visual minority but my eyes are opening... I have looked at walmart, zellars, sears, superstore and a couple of exclusive toy stores as well as looking at toys r us online. All to no avail. I have been told to actually go into toys r us but I haven't gotten around to this yet. If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears!
I am also going to try to find a hair dresser who can teach me how to care for our daughter's hair. If anyone knows of a place in Victoria, I would really appreciate hearing about it.

Hi guys,
Not sure if ths is still a need or not, but I saw a black baby doll in the window of a store in Vancouver last week called "Hip Baby". NOt sure if they sell them or if it was just a window display, but this is their website:
http://www.hipbaby.com/
and I can always go in there for you next time we are over if you would like (july 13 & 14th)
xxx Emma
I tried for 11 months to find a nice looking brown doll for our daughter who is 2 from Ethiopia and could not find anything. I finally went on ebay and ordered an Ethnic Chou Chou doll. Don't know if that will help. Take Care. Lisa
